Publications, awards and impact

Four awards will be given at the end of the conference (selected by the conference attendees and an evaluation panel):
• Best symposium
• Best oral communication
• Best poster

 

All the presented communications will be made available in open access through the conference proceedings and the digital repositories of the University of Barcelona (with ISSN).

Guidelines

Oral Communication

 

Each abstract should be within 750 words, 12 point Times New Roman font, single-spaced, justified in the following structure:
• Author/s
• Affiliation
• Introduction
• Method/Methodology
• Results & Discussion
• Conclusion
• References (Minimum 5, maximum 10 references). APA 6th Edition.

 

Official languages: English
The abstract should not contain line spaces, references, tables, or unusual abbreviations.
Each accepted paper will be allotted 10 minutes for an oral presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A and discussion.

 

Five (5) presenters per 1 hour and 15 min (10 minutes each for the presentation). Please design your charts to fit the time frame and practice to make sure you do not run out of time. The Q&A part shall be conducted after the fifth presenter with all five presenters in a panel and a facilitator.
Revised presentation may only be accepted on the first day of the Conference so they can be downloaded and checked in advance to avoid potential disruptions.
All rooms will be equipped with a data projector, a screen, a laptop computer, a table and a microphone.
Power point presentations: Presentation file type acceptable for oral presentation is Microsoft Office PowerPoint 97-2003*(.ppt) or Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007*(.pptx)

Poster presentation

 

Posters to be presented should include the following (max. 500 words –author/s, affiliation and references not included)
• Author/s
• Affiliation
• Introduction
• Method/Methodology
• Results
• Conclusion
• References (Minimum 5, maximum 10 references). APA 6th Edition.

 

Official languages: English
The maximum dimensions of the poster are as follows: 42 inches x 54 inches
Posters must be printed in English and be easily readable from a distance of one meter.
Poster presenters are encouraged to have a one-page handout for distribution during the poster presentation
Presenters in the allocated space before the start of the poster session must install posters.
Presenters are expected to attend their posters during the allotted poster sessions and should be prepared to discuss and answer questions about their presentations.

If you cannot complete the online submission due to technical problems, you can send your application form and abstract to icpess2020@gmail.com

Important Dates

• Submission of abstracts: until May 15, 2020
• Acceptance notification: until June 15, 2020
• Submission new abstracts (if there are corrections): until July 15, 2020
• After acceptance, you can submit the Full Paper via email, until July 31, 2020 (it is optional).
